I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
