The renowned publisher has welcomed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to lead the development team at 31st Union, which is currently crafting the forthcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Management Shift Follows Poor Feedback
Brinkman assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the departure of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' lackluster unveiling last autumn.
Recently, 2K president a key figure informed employees about this decision through an official communication, which emphasized that playtesting had revealed the requirement for a clearer direction.
Ismailer noted that the developers is now reimagining the project with a revised focus, aiming to address player expectations.
Trend of Strategic Acquisitions
The news echoes a comparable step taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they hired Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to assist with the BioShock studio Cloud Chamber.
